There are two main contributing factors that must be considered when calculating the cost of a funeral.

1. The coffin or casket - Polynesian Funerals have a wide range of coffins and caskets ranging in price from $490.00 to $15,000.00. However, the average price of our coffins range between $700.00 and $1900.00. (See coffin photographs)

2. Grave or cremation fees - Grave fees in the Brisbane area range from $1000.00 to $10,000.00 for a three opening grave and Vaults up to $30,000.00. The average cremation fee is approximately $750.00.

Cremation

1. Funeral with NO ATTENDANCE AND NO SERVICE, at the crematorium of our choice:
Includes:

• Our professional fees
• A standard size basic Coffin
• Independent Medical Officers form giving permission to cremate
• The Crematorium fee
• Certified copy of Death Certificate
• GST
• TOTAL $1600.00

2. In the event that your family wishes to attend the funeral service at the crematorium of their choice.
Includes:

• Our professional fees
• A standard size basic Coffin covered by our "Shelly Coffin" or pall
• Independent Medical Officers form giving permission to cremate
• The Crematorium fee
• Clergy or Celebrant fee
• Certified copy of Death Certificate
• GST
• TOTAL $3500.00

3. Attended Cremation service at the crematorium that the family choose
Includes:

• Our professional fees
• Cremation fee
• Independent Medical Officers form giving permission to cremate.
• A standard size "Wood Grain Coffin." (See coffin photos)
• Small spray of flowers
• Clergy/Celebrant Fee
• Certified copy of Death Certificate
• Memorial Book
• Newspaper Notice up to $100.00
• GST
• TOTAL $4600.00

Burial

1. Graveside only service.
Includes:

• Our professional fees
• A standard size "Wood Grain Coffin." (See coffin photos)
• Small spray of flowers (Optional)
• Clergy/Celebrant Fee
• Certified copy of Death Certificate (Recommended)
• Memorial Book (Optional)
• Small News Paper Notice (Optional)
• GST
• TOTAL $3500.00

2. Price for a church and graveside funeral service.

Centenary Memorial Gardens (Wacol)

1. New Grave From $3300.00 to $10500.00

As there are many options that are available to families, the above suggestion should not be taken as the only choice.

Choices are available within the following areas:

• Coffin - The quoted coffin is a mid range and movement is available up or down.
• Flowers - A larger spray may be obtained or the family may wish to supply their own.
• Certified copy of Death Certificate - Many families do not obtain this certificate, however, this certificate is recommended for estate purposes.
• Memorial Book - Many families do not wish to use this book, or the family may wish to
  supply their own.
• News Paper Notice - It is NOT necessary to advertise a funeral. A large percentage of funerals do not appear in the newspapers, nevertheless a smaller or larger advertisement may be chosen.

PLEASE NOTE PRICES MAY CHANGE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTIFICATION

Please note: In the event that a death occurs in the family home or a Nursing home after normal trading hours a further fee of $330.00 for the transfer of the deceased MAY apply, (Including GST). However, this service is provided free of charge during normal trading hours, (8:00 Am to 5:00 Pm Monday to Friday)

Polynesian Funerals have fully trained professional staff who are on call, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our staff are willing to assist you in any way that your family may require.
